- RTF (Rich Text Format) is a standardized all-text format for
- designating styling and formatting information within a
- document. Because this information is saved as text within
- the document, it would be disastrous to filter this information
- through the dialect; no word processor would be able to
- interpret the information afterwards, and the converted RTF
- file would be useless.
-
- If you choose “RTF aware” from the Options menu, ^
- will leave the RTF styling and formatting information alone,
- while still converting the actual text to whichever dialect
- you have selected.
-
- You may keep RTF awareness turned on even if you are just
- converting plain text files. Plain text files will be converted
- correctly regardless of whether or not RTF awareness is on.
